What is This Course About?

The Online Children and Young People’s Workforce Course focuses on the practice of providing targeted support to children and young people. It examines the important theories and governing legislation regarding dealing and working with children, young people and their families. It also looks at early learning and childcare and the approaches for developing the study skills needed to effectively work with children and young people.

Reaching out to children and young people, helping them engage in different enjoyable activities, and listening and valuing them are the primary work of children and young people’s workforce. With the help of this course, students will be able to understand the role of such discipline in improving the quality of life of children and young adults, and will also familiarise them with the key themes, ideas and skills that are integral to working in the 0-19 sector.
