The OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care Management qualification consists of 12 mandatory units, 240 credits, 2400 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and the recommended Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for this qualification is a minimum of 1200 hours.

The objective of the OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care Management is to equip learners with the essential knowledge, understanding, and skills needed for a career or further study in the health and social care sector at a managerial level. This programme enables learners to demonstrate their skills by producing evidence from their work or training activities.

Learners will study Level 4 and Level 5 units, each worth 120 credits per academic year, for a total of 240 credits. This credit value is equivalent to the first two years of an honours degree.

The Level 4 units provide the foundation for learning by introducing contemporary Health and Social Care topics. These units combine both theoretical and practical knowledge.
