This Online NVQ Assessors course is designed for individuals who need to assess competence within the workplace or classroom. The course will teach you how to plan and carry out assessments in a straightforward, step-by-step format. By its conclusion candidates will achieve a nationally accredited assessing qualification.
Candidates upon enrolment are automatically sent electronic resources, including PowerPoint, video lectures, templates and a hard copy textbook in the post. At this time the candidate is also assigned a mentor who will guide them through the course and answer any questions about its content.
Video examples included within the presentations allow candidates to practice both a workplace and vocational assessment. Once ready the candidate then carries out eight assessments on two different learners (so four on each).
Towards the end of the course an observational visit is arranged whereby an experienced assessor will observe the candidate carrying out one assessment. This is also a good chance to catch up and check overall progress. Once all eight assessments are complete the candidate is awarded the nationally recognised Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF) qualification.

The qualification is suitable for those who are new to the role of assessing but also ideal for experienced assessors who need to obtain national accreditation.
Candidates require access to two learners before starting the course. These learners will from the basis of the portfolio of evidence. they do not necessarily have to be on a formal training program. Please get in touch and we can help.
Successful completion can lead to a full / part time job as an NVQ assessor. This includes within hairdressing schools, colleges and on childcare courses. The average salary was 28k for a full time position (2018).
