Description
Unit 1: Understanding Principles and Practices of Assessment(T/601/5313) (3 credits):
The aim of this unit is to assess the candidate assessor’s knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices that underpin assessment.
Unit3:Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding(F/601/5319) (6credits):
The aim of this unit is to assess a learning and development practitioner performance in carrying out assessments of vocational skills, knowledge and understanding outside of the work environment. Assessment methods include:
- Assessment of the learner in simulated environments
- Skills test
- Oral and written questions
- Assignments
- Projects
- Case studies
- Recognising prior learning
This unit does not require the design of assessments.
Requirements
1.These qualifications are designed for learner aged 19 and above.
2.You will need to be working as an assessor or tutor with a minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience.
3.You must carry out at least two assessments of 2 candidates’ occupational competence and will need to provide two learner work as evidence.
The range of direct evidence MUST include:
- Assessment of a minimum of TWO candidates per assessor
- Observation of practice
- Examination of products of work and questioning
Career path
At the end of this course, successful learners will be awarded a formal certificate of achievement by NCFE. The training courses have been designed specifically to meet the needs of learners who prefer to study from home.
