Develop your financial expertise to the highest level with Manchester Metropolitian’s Global Online MSc Finance and Strategy. This online programme is delivered from the City of Manchester, the UK’s second largest financial centre and one of the fastest growing regions for FinTech (Source: Invest in Manchester). As a student of Manchester Metropolitan Business School, one of only a handful of business schools in the UK that is accreditedby both AMBA and AACSB, you will be part of an international learning environment that will develop your strategic thinking and leadership skills on a global scale.

This course also provides:

  • Recognition for prior learning: If you already have a professional finance qualification from a recognised institution, such as ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or AAT, you could be exempt from four of the programme's nine modules.

  • The ability to accelerate your CIMA qualification: As a Manchester Met masters graduate, you are eligible for an accelerated entry route to the CIMA Professional Qualification, called the Masters Gateway route. The Masters Gateway route will allow you to progress to the strategic level of the CIMA Professional Qualification upon the completion of one exam, bypassing 11 other modules.

What is a ‘regulated qualification’?

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

What is an ‘endorsed’ course?

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body’s logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as ABC Awards and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
