Antenatal care modules focus on prenatal screening, nutrition, lifestyle guidance, emotional wellbeing, and partner and family support. Intrapartum care modules explore labour stages, pain management options, fetal monitoring techniques, and emergency obstetric interventions.
Postnatal care includes maternal recovery, newborn assessment, breastfeeding support, and recognition of postpartum complications. Neonatal care modules cover physiology, resuscitation techniques, common health conditions, and intensive care awareness.
Special circumstances in midwifery, including multiple or high-risk pregnancies, home births, and culturally competent practice, are examined to provide learners with awareness of diverse maternity scenarios. Professional development modules address standards, codes of conduct, continuing education, reflective practice, and legal responsibilities.
