In 40 videos, this course provides the skills needed to connect Microsoft Office to Google Drive and take advantage of the undisputed benefits of both worlds.

I ask advanced prospects to check whether the course conveys new knowledge based on the details of the videos before enrollment.

Chapters 1 and 2 provide basic information about using Google Drive with Microsoft Office documents . This information is very important for beginners - advanced learners may forgive me for starting with " Adam and Eve ".

Following these chapters, participants will understand how to save Microsoft Office documents to Google Drive, use and organize the sharing and commenting options, and convert Microsoft Office documents to Google Drive documents for editing with Google's own programs ,

Chapter 3 introduces the Chrome Extension Office Editor in more detail. After working through the chapter, you will be able to make simple changes to Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.

Chapter 4 deals intensively with the Chrome extension AwesomeDrive and its extensions. With AwesomeDrive , you can create and edit documents stored on Google Drive with Word, Excel and PowerPoint .

In addition, you will learn how with Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Access , in the whole concept created documents and databases that you store in Google Drive can integrate .

Chapter 5 details the Google Drive plug-in for Microsoft Office offered by Google, and probably the most powerful way to connect Microsoft Office to Google Drive. Learn how to use Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to manage your Google Drive stored documents.

In this chapter, you will also learn about the possibilities of cooperation between Microsoft Outlook and Google Drive .

Unfortunately, this plugin only works on Windows computers, so it's only of academic interest to Mac users.

Chapter 6 provides a brief overview of maintaining Microsoft Office documents stored on Google Drive with the mobile versions of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
