Overview
Description
Massachusetts requires pay ranges in job postings and is the first US state to publish aggregate wage data on a public Pay Equity Register. This interactive course provides practical, scenario-based training to help HR and reward teams understand their responsibilities and confidently manage compliance.
Rather than learning through slides alone, you'll take part in a realistic scenario where your decisions influence the outcome. Working through an Attorney General review of postings missing pay ranges while the annual EEO-1 wage report is also due, you'll audit the adverts, decide how to respond, weigh the privileged self-evaluation defence, and manage the evidence that will appear on the public register.
During this course, you'll learn how to:
- Post job adverts with a compliant pay range under the Frances Perkins Act
- Prepare and file the annual EEO-1 wage data report
- Understand how aggregate wage data appears on the public register
- Respond to an Attorney General review within the response window
- Use the Equal Pay Act privileged self-evaluation defence correctly
- Manage a deadline collision between the review and the statutory filing
Course features:
- Immersive, decision-based learning with multiple possible outcomes
- Realistic case files, supporting documents and practical activities
- Voiced narration and realistic Attorney General case files
- Interactive pay-range and wage-reporting compliance exercises
- Approximately 1 hour of self-paced online learning
- Developed by Blend Training and reviewed by qualified US employment law professionals
