In simple terms, marketing is how you communicate a brand. It is the process of determining the needs and wants of consumers, and being able to deliver the products or service that satisfies those needs and wants. Its key purpose is finding, getting, keeping and developing customers in a way that will lead to the growth and success of a business. Marketing is the umbrella term that covers a number of essential practices for any business, including research, development, promotion, product sales and service. The most important part of marketing is that it is 100% about the customer and by fully embracing marketing, you are making a company more customer-focused.
