In this course you will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of the project lifecycle and how it is used to structure a project. This leads to the exploration of project management tools to set up and manage a project, focusing on the development of a project plan, which is essential for the monitoring and control of a project.
You will consider ways to identify project outcomes and learn how to allocate resources. You will evaluate approaches to risk management, communication strategies and investigate how other disciplines such as process management can support and influence the direction of a project and where the direction of a project changes how to manage this change.
Finally you learn how close a project, considering factors such evaluating outcomes, seeking feedback and identifying lessons learnt.
The session includes discussion and activities designed to help you apply the learning from this course to you own projects, so it would be useful but not essential if you have an example of a project you have either been involved with or are currently work on to bring to the session.
