On completion of the course, students will gain a better understanding of Lockout Tagout (LOTO).

Students will learn what is involved in Lockout Tagout, the differences between Lockout and Tagout covering the different stages for each procedure. You will also cover how to identify risks and assess potential issues with equipment.

Students will learn about the different types of hazardous energy and the importance of hazardous energy control as well as the impact of energy on maintenance. You will also learn about effective maintenance safety processes.

You will also learn which personnel are involved in the process of Lockout Tagout and their responsibilities. You will also learn about the process of risk assessments, how to conduct a risk assessment and record findings. You will also cover the importance of review and monitoring.

Finally students will also learn about the stages of Lockout tagout inspections process and explore LOTO safe system of work protocol for implementing a safe system of work. You will also cover the documentation process which covers procedure’s, training, auditing and review. Finally you will cover the 7 stages of LOTO.

In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.

You will earn three CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around three hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.
