Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in International Business Law provides a coherent programme of study that enables law graduates, lawyers and those with a relevant first degree to develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of the international business law at postgraduate level. This course is available to students from both a legal and non-legal background. The aim of this programme is to develop legal skills, analysis, logical thinking and knowledge that can usefully be applied in further study, the legal profession and public service. It provides students with an understanding of the law in the context of business to equip them with abilities needed to work with advance issues.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the qualification, learners will be able to:

  • Understand wide ranges of subjects in international business law.
  • Develop an understanding of the legal framework that governs international business transactions.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the commercial trust law, company law, international trade law, intellectual property law, and the law of financial crimes in the international business.

Description

The overall structure of the course is based on 6 units that cover a number of topics relating to learning outcomes. Each unit has the equivalency of 20 credits. Learners are required to complete only 6 units to achieve 120 credits.

Assessment Methods

Assessment methods include assignments. There is no exam in this course. You will be required to submit an assignment for each unit of minimum 2000-3000 words in length to pass the unit and to achieve unit credits.

Results and Certificate

Learners must complete 6 units successfully and achieve 120 credits before the qualification certificate and final transcript will be issued by the awarding body.

  • Full assessment fees £800 either full with 20% or £160/month in five instalments.

It is equivalent level to the master's degree, but it is only 120 credits qualification diploma.

It is a postgraduate qualification after Bachelor degree. However, we have an open entry system so anyone can join the course. Discounted Price is only reflect tuition fees....If you read description, it does not include Assessment Fee. Learners have to pay assessment fee which covers examination/assignment of each unit, marking assignments, quality external quality assurance of assessment by external examiners, qualification certificates and transcript at the end of the course.

Hi Petra, 50% is the pass rate of each assignment in this qualification. You are required to submit six assignments to achieve 120 credits. If you fail, you can re-submit assignment with some amendments based on the feedback and we do not charge for any re-submission.

Yes, we accept any postgraduate unit or a qualification such as any overseas LLM/Business or any equivalent qualification to award credits or exemption in this course. You will study remaining units/modules to achieve the full qualification.

With this standalone level 7 dip- can I do an LLM as I have no other law qualification or degree? can one act an independent consultant?

This is the only qualification where you can achieve 120 credits at Level 7 Diploma in International Business Law and after achieving the qualification, we will transfer your 120 credits to the University (e.g. De Montfort University, UK) LLM and you will only study a dissertation to achieve the full LLM. Yes, you can work as an independent consultant in many areas specific to units.
