The need for and benefit of these skills is no longer limited to elite staff groups or top executives. Increasingly, companies expect, not only their top management but also their product managers, senior business analysts and mid-level executives in diverse functions to practice strategic leadership i.e. acquire the ability to understand strategic contexts and think and act strategically.
This workshop-course will focus on the craft, the opportunities and the challenges of developing strategies applicable across these roles. A set of key techniques and frameworks to inform leadership practice will be delivered, and on a sharply articulated succinct platform of what comprises strategy. Participants will engage in group breakout exercises, become familiar with some core concepts and frameworks. Case contexts deployed will be both contemporary, and some classics, to help impart understanding and ability in tandem.
