The Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (QCF) qualification is the industry standard for those working in senior management or leadership, and is the equivalent to a Master's Degree. Recognised both internationally and domestically, the programme offers a series of mandatory units which provide delegates the skills and occupational competence necessary to perform a senior management role. The optional units allow delegates to customise the qualification to suit their specific sector, meaning that it is an ideal addition to the resume of any management staff in health and social care environments.
Outline of Programme
To achieve the Level 7 QCF Diploma in Stategic Management and Leadership leaders must complete a minimum of 45 credits: 16 must come from Mandatory Group A, and a further 29 credits from Optional Group B. A minimum of 35 credits must be achieved through the completion of Level 7 units.

- Provide strategic leadership and direction. (6 credits)

How does assessment take place?
Delegates will be assessed through the observation of their work-based performance, building a portfolio of evidence, and demonstrating their ability to work at the required level. An assessor will be on hand to help prepare the portfolio for assessment, with contact via email and telephone for assistance and support throughout the qualification.
What are the entry requirements?
The Diploma in Leadership and Management is for those aged 19+ who are already working within a health and social care role with managerial responsibilities, so that they can produce the required evidence. Delegates must also have good written and verbal communication skills.
How long will it take?
The course is completely flexible and we encourage students to learn at their own pace. The awarding body do stipulate that the course is completed within 36 months, but most students will successful finish the programme in around 9!
How would I progress further?
Those successful achieving this qualification have the ability to progress onto qualifications such as counselling, inspecting learning disability services, community development, and management qualifications 5 and 6.
