Assessment

This qualification is competence based, candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification. Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

The qualification will be assessed through a combination of written essays, a portfolio of evidence, professional discussions and observation of occupational competence. All units, assignments and learning materials for the course can be accessed through our online learning platform. Students have 12 months access to the online learning platform where they may study entirely at their own pace. The observations and professional discussions should be completed within a suitable environment and should be carried out by a qualified observer.
