Level 5 Diploma in IT – Web Design

The rationale for the qualification is that it provides a career path for learners who wish to develop a broad base of knowledge and skills that will enable them to work in a variety of roles n the IT industry, notably in .NET programming, system administration and network security. Learners will also learn about entrepreneurship in a techno environment. The qualification is flexible in that it offers elective choices of networking, web design or e-commerce – the latter being much in demand in modern business.

The technical skills and knowledge delivered through the successful achievement of the qualification are required and recognised internationally. The diploma is accredited at Level 5 and has a total equivalence of 120 credits.

The qualification is ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into, a career in private or public sector business. Successful completion of the Level 5 Diploma in IT – Web Design will provide learners with the opportunity to progress to further study or employment.

Learner must fulfil at least one of the following criteria to be allowed entry to the qualification:

Academic Qualification

• Possession of Level 4 diploma or year 1 of bachelors degree or any equivalent overseas qualification

Or

In case of no formal education, learners can gain entry on the basis of workexperience.

• Learners having 2 years of work experience or more are eligible in case of no formal educational qualification.
