The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) / Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Course covers the principles and ethics of safeguarding adults, the various UK laws and regulations that apply to adult caring, the symptoms of abuse, distress, and neglect in adults, the roles and responsibilities of a person safeguarding an adult, how to communicate with a vulnerable adult in crisis, and how to gain, store, and share personal information when needed.

This module will explore the fundamental principles of safeguarding vulnerable adults, such as the importance of promoting their independence, rights, and well-being. It will also discuss the ethical considerations involved in safeguarding, such as confidentiality and consent.
Module 02: UK Safeguarding Laws and Legislations
