Overview
Gender is one of the major ways that human society is organised, whether considered from a social or cultural perspective. Currently, all major organisations have equity and diversity policies due to which Gender Studies becomes a valuable addition to any degree. Gender Studies has developed over the last three decades into a complex and influential academic specialisation.
The skills of gender and sexuality can be applied broadly in public service, professional practice, communications, training and education, research occupations as well as to specialist gender-related fields such as women’s services, policy development, social justice and equity and diversity.
The Level 4 Gender Studies Diploma program provides you with a critical education in major theories and applications about the place of gender.
The course fee covers registration, learning materials (PDF/eBooks) and assessment. Certification is subject to a single payment of £15 for soft-copy and £20 for printed version payable to the UK Home College.

Description
The Level 4 Diploma in Gender Studies addresses the broad question of how gender (social definitions of femininity and masculinity) intersects with other social orders of difference (principally race, class and sexuality) to shape culture and social institutions, as well as personal identity and relationships, Gender Studies reflects this wide scope by including social, cultural and political perspectives.
It considers the impact of gender and sexuality on a range of discourses embedded within cultures and identities. Gender Studies focuses on international contexts to examine the role of gender in past and present society and culture.
