Unit 1

Unit 1 is assessed through a written essay.
Unit 2
Included in course price
Unit 2 is assessed by conducting quality assurance activities for at least two assessors, each with at least two learners. A qualified IQA must observe one of your activities, which your ATC Training tutor can do remotely. You must also create a sampling plan and provide evidence of how you ensure assessors are suitably qualified and competent.
Unit 3
Included in course price
Unit 3 is a combination of written work and practical activities. You will also participate in a professional discussion with your tutor or another qualified lead IQA.

Description
Learners will achieve 17 credits across 3 units:
- Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
- Internally assure the quality of assessment
- Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility
Typically, distance learning students complete this course within 3-6 months although students are able to take up to 12 months to complete the qualification.
Who is this course for?
This course will qualify the candidate to act as a Lead Internal Quality Assurer (IQA). These roles exist in further education colleges, independent training providers and apprenticeship providers.
It will also be a useful qualification for those responsible for leading a team of IQA’s, or managing the quality of training and/or assessment within workplace training.
Requirements
Learners must be aged 19+ years to be enrolled onto this course. If enrolling to this course as an individual, you must be working or have access to a training or teaching environment as you are required to carry out quality assurance in a live environment as part of the qualification.
Please note: course materials are provided in English and assignments must be completed in English.
