Description
This practical qualification is ideal for assessors who wish to progress into internal quality assurance roles. It focuses on the technical and regulatory aspects of ensuring the quality of assessments internally within a training centre, college, or workplace environment.
The course includes the following two mandatory units:
- Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment – A knowledge-based unit that explores the theory behind IQA responsibilities, principles of quality assurance, legal requirements, and the importance of continuous improvement.
- Unit 2: Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment – A performance-based unit where candidates provide real evidence of their work as an internal quality assurer. This includes sampling assessor decisions, observing assessment practices, writing reports, and providing developmental feedback.
