On completion of this course, candidates will be able to:Explain the process of registration through to the completion of an NVQ and the role of the internal quality assurer, Set up and maintain procedures to meet Awarding Body requirements, Verify QCF Assessments and Build a portfolio of evidence which meets IQA national standards.
You will have ongoing tutorial support from one of our experienced tutors/assessors. Each element of the programme looks at different aspects of the IQA role: Carry out and evaluate internal assessment and quality assurance systems, Support assessors, Monitor the quality of assessors performance and Meet external quality assurance requirements.
The IQA is assessed as an NVQ/QCF qualification. Candidates will produce an e-portfolio of evidence. Observation of the candidates carrying out IQA is mandatory. Assessment methods include professional discussion, written records, questioning and witness testimony. Other methods may also be used to gather required evidence.

This qualification is suitable for you if you wish to obtain the Internal Verifier / Moderator role and quality assure assessors and assessment.
Assessment should focus on real work activities so that naturally occurring evidence can be assessed.
The range of direct evidence MUST include:
monitoring of a minimum of TWO assessors
assessment of a minimum of TWO candidates per assessor
observation of practice
examination of products of work
These can be supplemented, where necessary, with professional discussion, reflective accounts or witness statements.
