The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), formerly known as PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector), is an introductory teaching qualification designed for individuals who wish to teach adults in any subject they are qualified or experienced in. This qualification is regulated by Ofqual and provides the essential knowledge needed to deliver effective teaching sessions in further education, workplace training, or community settings.

This fully online, self-paced course allows learners to study from anywhere, at any time, with full tutor support. Upon successful completion, learners will receive a nationally recognised certificate, enabling them to teach adult learners in their chosen field.

Course Structure & Units
The Level 3 AET / PTLLS qualification consists of three mandatory units, covering key teaching principles:

Unit 1: Understanding Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training

• Legal and organisational requirements for assessment

Assessment:
There is no formal examination in this course, but at the end of the course you have to submit an assignment portfolio via email. It takes 7-10 days to get marked/assessment and get the result/certificate.
