You've got your Level 2 certificate and are now a fitness instructor! So, what's next on the journey to becoming a personal trainer?

Time for Level 3! In this course you will build on your knowledge of safe and effective exercises and learn how to apply them to a 1 to 1 client basis to help them achieve their fitness goals.

Power Academy is partnered with Active IQ, one of the largest awarding organisations in the UK. This course is also fully recognised by the Registers of Exercise Professionals (REPs). You will be fully qualified to work as a personal trainer after graduating from this course.

The topics you will learn in this level 3 course are:

  • Anatomy, Physiology and Nutrition applicable to personal training (advanced)
  • Lifestyle and Medical factors that affect well-being
  • Effective Communication Skills for client consultations to encourage healthy lifestyle behaviours and strategies for change
  • Skills to plan and conduct physical activity sessions with different types of clients in a variety of environments with a range of resources
  • How to set up and manage a personal training business on a self-employed basis
  • Internationally recognised qualification

Theory exam can be completed from home and the practical exam will take place at our North London learning facilities, located in New Southgate, North London.

Requirements

Entry Requirements

You must have already completed the Level 2 Gym Instructor Course and we also ask that you have a good knowledge of the health and fitness industry and lead a healthy lifestyle in order to be a good role model for your clients.

Students should also have a good level of communication and presenting skills as there are elements of this in the course.

You must be 16 years of age or older.

Answer:

Assessments are carried out in the following: Theory exams at the moment can be done online from home. Practical exams are done in our North London branch.
