The rationale of the programme is to provide a career path for learners who wish to develop their care capabilities within the health and social care sector. The outcome of the Diploma, which is a recognised UK Qualification, is for learners to develop the skills required by organisations globally.

The programme offered to provide the opportunity for individuals to forge a career in health and social care by seeking a greater knowledge and understanding industry, and to support the individual’s development into senior positions.

Diploma in Health and Social Care is accredited to Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 3 and European Qualification Framework (EQF) Level 4.

The course aims

  1. To equip individuals with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in employment in the health and social care sector
  2. To enable progression to the first year of a degree or related professional qualification
  3. To provide specialist study relevant to individual vocations and environments in which learners are currently working, or to which learners are aiming to work within the health and/or social care sector
  4. To develop learners’ ability to contribute positively to good practice in the health and social care environment through effective use and combination of the knowledge and skills gained in the qualifications
  5. To develop skills and techniques, personal qualities and attributes essential for successful performance in working life and thereby enabling learners to make an immediate contribution to employment

Duration: The minimum duration to complete the qualification is 3 months, while we allow 12 months so that students can be flexible to achieve with no extra cost.

Students studying for Diploma in Health and Social Care will be expected to develop the following skills during the programme of study:

  1. The ability to read and use appropriate literature with a full and critical understanding the ability to think independently and solve problems
  2. Applying subject knowledge and understanding to address familiar and unfamiliar problems
  3. Recognising the moral and ethical issues of health and social care practice and research; appreciating the need for ethical standards and professional codes of conduct
  4. An appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of health and social care service provision
  5. Capacity to give a clear and accurate account of a subject, in a mature way and engage in debate and dialogue both with specialists and non-specialists.
  6. To develop transferable skills and knowledge which will enable individuals to meet changing
  7. To motivate individuals to progress to further professional development through future study or as part of their chosen career

These are the overall learning outcomes in line with a level 3 qualification in the Regulated Qualifications Framework.

Course Structure
There are mandatory and optional units for this Qualification. All units cover a number of topics relating to learning outcomes. The Diploma requires 4 Mandatory Units and a minimum of 2 Optional Units. Each unit has 10 credits. Learners are required to complete 6 modules to achieve the 60 credits required to gain the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Assessment Method
Each unit is assessed through an assignment.

How will you study

Our learning portal will be available to you study 24/7. You can use your Desktop Computer, Laptop, Mobile or Tablet anytime in a flexible way to study entirely online. After login to your online learning portal, you will study in a structured way - read books/resources online and write you assignments with full study support to complete the whole qualification.

Results and Certificate

Learners will complete six units and achieve credits. They will be awarded a qualification certificate and final transcript by the awarding body.

Note: Assessment Cost
Learners will pay an Assessment cost £360 at the beginning of the course, which will cover awarding body registration, assessment of six units, marking, feedback and certification.

This fee is payable at the beginning of the course to ensure the quality. You will also have the option to pay £60/month for six months.

There are no nationally agreed entry requirements. This is an excellent qualification of high demand for any learner looking for a professional career in health or social care or professional development or for further education e.g. BA/BSC Hons in Care/Health or Care. We recommend learners to have a good interest to learn new skills and knowledge. Students can also join from anywhere around the world. This qualification is valid anywhere around the world.

Thank you for your message. This qualification is onto the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework with 60 credits point equivalent to the Access to Higher Education or A Level. It is NVQ Level 3, accredited to RQF - Regulated Qualifications Framework & also to European Qualifications Framework. It is not mandatory to be on the job to produce assignment. Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
