Module – 3: Understanding the Growth and Development of Children
Module three explain the growth and development process of children. It discusses the principles and stages of development and different types of development.
Module – 4: Introduction to Child Psychology
In module four, we’ll have an overview of child psychology. We’ll understand the scope, areas and stages of development in childhood and how to guide psychological development in the right way.
Module –5: Attachment and Relationship Building in Childhood
Module five discusses the impact of attachment on relationship building in childhood. Here, we’ll learn about different theories related to this, such as Bowlby’s Attachment Theory, Evolutionary Theory, etc.
Module –6: Factors that Influence Development
In this module, we’ll explore the different factors that influence development in childhood. We’ll learn about the role of parenting style and the impact of exposure to family problems on children’s development.
Module – 7: Personality and Intellectual Development of Children
In module seven, we’ll deepen our understanding of the personality and intellectual development of children. We’ll understand the Erikson and Sullivan’s Stages of Psychosocial Growth. Also, we’ll learn about the impact of the surrounding environment on children’s development.
Module – 8: Observation and Assessment of Children in the Early Years Setting
In module eight, we’ll learn about how to observe and assess a child’s development in the early years.
Module – 9: Curriculum and Developing Early Learning
In module nine, we’ll broaden our understanding of The Early Childhood Curriculum Frameworks in UK Countries. Also, we’ll learn about planning for children’s learning and creating an ideal learning environment.
Module – 10: Promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Practice in Early Years of Learning
In this module, we’ll understand the concept of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Discrimination. We’ll gain an in-depth understanding of different legislations related to equality and discrimination. Also, we’ll learn how to promote equality through anti-discriminatory and anti-bias practices.
Module – 11: Safeguarding, Protection and Welfare of Young Children
In this module, we’ll learn about physical abuse and injuries, different types of neglect and how to deal with these issues to safeguard the children.
Module – 12: Health and Safety of Children in the Early Years
In module twelve, we’ll learn about the health and safety needs for children. We’ll learn about the importance of personal hygiene in childhood, different accidents and hazards in home and school, and how to avoid these to protect children.
Module – 13: Nutrition and Healthy Food for Children
Module thirteen explains the needs for nutrition and healthy food in children’s development. Here, we’ll learn about the main food groups for setting a balanced diet for children.
Module – 14: Play and Learning in Children’s Education
In this module, we’ll understand the impact of play and recreation on children’s learning and the overall development process. Also, we’ll discuss creativity development in childhood.
Module – 15: Working with Children Having Special Needs
In this module, we’ll understand what it means by special needs. We’ll understand different disabilities and disorders in children and how to deal with them. Also, we’ll learn about SEN in the early years.
Module – 16: Working in Partnership with Parents and Carers
In this final module, we’ll understand how to work with parents and carers and take part in children’s development and raising. We’ll learn about the scopes and challenges in working with parents.
Assessment
At the end of the Level 3 Childminding Course (Nanny, Babysitter, Childminder) course, there will be an online assessment, which you will need to pass to complete the course. Answers are marked instantly and automatically, allowing you to know straight away whether you have passed. If you haven’t, there’s no limit on the number of times you can take the final exam.
