Description

It allows learners to develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of dementia and its effects. Learners will gain an understanding of the types of dementia, the importance of early diagnosis and the role of communication, interaction and inclusion in dementia care and support.

Who is this course for?

By completing this Level 3 course in the Principles of Dementia Care, you can become familiarised with and develop an understanding of how to care for someone who has been diagnosed with dementia, and how to identify the early signs of dementia. This course would be helpful for those looking for a career in Health and Social Care and can lead to roles such as;

  • Care Worker (£13,500 to £25,000)

Requirements

From 1st April 2021, anyone aged 19+ who wants to achieve their first full level 3 qualification, which is equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or diploma, or 2 full A levels, may be able to sign up to a fully-funded course.
