About Official Exam, Assessment & Certification

Towards the end of the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) | PTLLS, you will be assessed via assignments that will be internally designed and graded by the course instructors. This approach will more accurately represent what is covered in class and fit the style of instruction being implemented, providing students more confidence to ace the test.

Once you are ready for the submission of the assignments, you need to pay an additional fee of £189 + VAT to grade your assignment.

The overall qualification grade is "pass." The learner must complete every unit that is mentioned in the qualification framework. The following requirements must be met in order for a learner to pass a unit:

Assessment structure assignment

Students must complete a number of brief assignments for each section of the award. These assessments are designed to assess you in accordance with the following guidelines:

• Submit short assignments for each module
• Assignments should include theory, relevant to real-world workplaces and relate to actual teaching situations.
• These assignments will aid in your exploration and application of the entire teaching and learning cycle.
• Your tutor will give comments after receiving and reviewing the assignments and will give you the chance to resubmit them if more work is needed.

Microteaching Assessment

You will also be required to submit a teaching assessment that is designed to assess you in accordance with the following guidelines:

• You will be required to record and upload videos of at least 15-minute microteaching sessions that you conducted in a classroom setting. Once you submit your assessments, your teacher will individually review and grade them.
• This practical assessment will help you demonstrate your skills and knowledge gathered from three units.
• Additionally, you'll need to provide teaching records and documentation such as lesson plans, learner evaluation, scheme of work, etc, proving you've taught in a classroom.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this Award in Education and Training Level (AET) | PTLLS and passing the internal assessments and practical teaching assessments, you will be awarded the qualification NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training, which is valued by all employers in the UK and globally. A certificate (hard copy) will be provided bearing the university-recognised official logo of NCFE that will certify that you have taken this course and have successfully completed all the assessments and objectives this course offers. The certificate will also contain the seal of “Ofqual” as the course is regulated by Ofqual and will be posted to your designated address.
