Description

The Level 2 Exercise to Music is both a REPs and CIMSPA recognised qualification. The qualification covers 6 units that will include a mixture of theoretical and practical knowledge to deliver and plan group exercise sessions.

The course completion time is flexible and can work around you with mix of online-study, video tutorials and video assessments to complete the qualification. Our team will provide support from day one of your qualification setting an action plan for the qualification based on your course completion time-frame .

The below units will be covered in the Level 2 Exercise to Music Qualification:

  • Principles of Exercise, Health and Fitness
  • Anatomy & Physiology of the human body
  • Knowing how to support client
  • Health & Safety in the fitness environment
  • Planning exercise to music sessions
  • Instructing group exercise to music

On completion of the qualification you will receive your certification from Focus Awards, in which you can begin running group exercise sessions!

Who is this course for?

The qualification is designed for anyone interested in delivering group exercise session, studio based aerobics, dance fitness, circuit style classes.

Requirements

No previous qualifications are required for this course. however you will need to be at least 16 years old to enrol.

Career path

Once qualified as an exercise to music instructor you into a career within a gym, leisure centre, private health club or even take the qualification abroad. You have the choice to work for the gym or freelance your services to multiple training facilities.

Progress onto Les Mills qualifications, or become a Personal Trainer with the Level 3 Personal Training qualification.

Certain awarding bodies - such as ABC Awards and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
