Darren asked:

Do you get a pass or fail decision on the course and if you pass can you start work the next days as security

After completing the training and examinations, it takes around 2 weeks for the awarding body to mark the papers. If you pass, they will send us your certificate. If you fail, the re-sits are completely free. You will then apply for your SIA license online. Once you submit your application, you will make your payment for the badge at the Post office. The SIA will then post your badge to you which could take up to 4 weeks. You can start working from the time the SIA issue you your license.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.
