This quick and easy Level 1 exam only option is ideal for candidates who are already working in the construction industry and/or have obtained all of the knowledge required to comfortably sit the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (CSCS Level 1 Award) without any additional training, although free revision material is still provided.

How do I book my CSCS Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction exam?

Simply make the purchase through our website and then call us to agree and time and date to take your CSCS Level 1 exam.

We run the Level 1 Health and Safety in Construction Environment exams daily on weekdays and weekends *except Sundays and public holidays.

Our exam times are flexible, you can choose from any of the following slots:

Monday - Exams run every hour from 10am to 4pm.

Tuesday - Exams run every hour from 10am to 4pm.

Wednesday - Exams run every hour from 10am to 4pm.

Thursday - Exams run every hour from 10am to 4pm.

Friday - Exams run every hour from 10am to 4pm.

Saturday - Exams run every hour from 10am to 3pm.

What happens after you have booked the Level 1 CSCS Labourer HSA Exam?

After you have paid for the CSCS Level 1 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment exam and chosen a date and time, we will send you an email confirmation of your booking along with free study material, including

What to expect on the day of your Level 1 CSCS exam

Upon arrival, you will need to provide a valid form of Photo Identification (Driving Licence or Passport) which will need to match the details provided upon booking the exam with us. You will not be allowed to sit the exam if your details do not match!

You should arrive 15 minutes early; if you arrive late you will not be allowed to sit the Level 1 CSCS exam.

You can expect to receive your exam results the same day, sent by email.

The certificate will be sent to you by email within 2 – 5 working days of sitting the exam.

How do I apply for the CSCS Green Card?

To apply for your CSCS Labourer Card, simply email the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (obtained after completing our exam) to CSCS and, providing you have also passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test for Operatives, you will get your CSCS Green Card. The application costs £36 which you pay to CSCS.

What does study method mean?

Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

What is an ‘endorsed’ course?

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body’s logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
