Description
Learning and Development Level 3 Training consists of eight structured lectures, followed by a final assessment. Each lecture builds progressively from foundational concepts to applied professional awareness.
The course begins with an introduction to learning and development, exploring the role of learning within organisations, the evolution of learning and development practices, adult learning theories, and key legislative and ethical considerations.
Learning needs analysis focuses on identifying training needs, conducting needs assessments, collecting and analysing data, and engaging stakeholders to ensure learning interventions are relevant and effective.
Curriculum development and instructional design examine how training programmes are designed, learning objectives are developed, and appropriate instructional methods and media are selected. Learners also explore creating engaging and accessible training materials.
Training delivery and facilitation focus on presentation skills, learner engagement techniques, managing challenging situations, and the use of technology to support training delivery.
Assessment and evaluation introduce different assessment approaches, methods for measuring learning outcomes, evaluation models such as Kirkpatrick’s framework, and continuous improvement practices in learning and development.
Employee development and talent management explore career development, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement, motivation, and diversity and inclusion considerations.
Managing training programmes focuses on budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, logistics, monitoring training effectiveness, and compliance and quality assurance.
Professional development and ethics examine continuing professional development, professional bodies, ethical responsibilities, and personal career development within learning and development roles.
Assessment allows learners to demonstrate understanding of learning and development principles, professional practice, and applied awareness.
