Lean aims to remove all wasteful activity from all processes increasing the value your business generates to its customer base, at the same time as maximising efficiency.

Six Sigma is a method to reduce defects and variation from a product or process. Combined Lean & Six Sigma creates a powerful toolkit for practitioners to make measurable business improvement.

A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt also possesses a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Lean Six Sigma Methods including competence in tools contained within the phases of Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control (DMAIC), with the understanding of how to implement, perform, interpret and apply Lean Six Sigma at a high level of proficiency

  • In depth knowledge of the Lean & Six Sigma toolkit and the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control (DMAIC) improvement cycle in line with ISO 18404 standards**
  • Project tools within the DMAIC phases of process improvement required to operate at Green belt level including:
  • Advanced Voice of the Customer/business
  • Supplier, Input, Process, Output, Customer (SIPOC)
  • Process and Value Stream Mapping
  • Project charter
  • Stakeholder management
  • Baseline measurement & data collection
  • Measurement systems analysis
  • Advanced Graphical analysis
  • Root cause and problem-solving analysis (Fishbone, 5 why)
  • Design of Experiments overview
  • Process variation, sigma, standard deviation and statistical process control
  • Advanced Process capability and stability analysis
  • 5’s, mistake proofing
  • Control planning
  • Risk management
  • Change management
  • Simulated activities to bring the methodology to life

** - Candidates will be required to complete a project using the training learning prior to advancing forward for ISO accreditation. This will need to be discussed on an individual basis as there’s further work post course required for this.

Who is this course for?

The Lean Six Sigma Green belt course is aimed at those who have completed our Yellow Belt course or previously completed a yellow belt level course elsewhere. The Green belt course will provide a refresher of the yellow belt material and the toolkit to enable full time practising of continuous improvement methods in their business/work role.

Green Belts can be employees who seek to improve their job skills, full time project leaders or business owners/champions who seek deeper knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma toolkit
