Core laboratory disciplines are introduced, including basic haematology, haemostasis, immunology, immunohematology, urinalysis, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and parasitology, all covered from a knowledge-based and non-clinical perspective.
Laboratory accidents and safety address risk awareness, incident prevention, and safe working practices. Quality assurance focuses on accuracy, documentation, error reduction, and maintaining standards within laboratory environments.
The course concludes with a lab technician knowledge quiz, allowing learners to demonstrate understanding of laboratory principles, safety awareness, and professional responsibilities.
