Overview
Qualification
Level 3 Certificate in Learning and Development (RQF)
Description
Our L&D Practitioner Level 3 apprenticeship is aimed at apprentices who would like to further develop their CIPD L&D skills, contributing to and influencing improved performance at an individual, team and organisation level.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Identifying learning/training needs
- Designing/sourcing training and learning solutions
- Delivering and evaluating training
- Working with stakeholder/business area managers
Apprentices will gain a well-rounded understanding of how to design and deliver effective learning experiences, measure impact, and adapt programs to meet diverse needs. Guided by industry experts, apprentices will apply their knowledge in real work environments, developing the confidence and skills to make a positive impact in roles focused on talent development.
Programme features:
Your apprenticeship will involve a blend of learning, encompassing a combination of workshops and online meetings, along with supporting resources including webinars, engaging online videos, PDF resources and activities. Checklists and practice quizzes will allow you to integrate and retain what you have learned.
Your CIPD Learning and Development Level 3 programme will include:
- Live online workshops
- 24/7 access to our VLE and your e-portfolio
- Regular 1:1 meetings with an expert adviser
- Unit study guides
- Access to our Learning Bites webinar series
- Online forums
- Progress reviews
- Pastoral support
- End point assessment preparation
Assessment:
Your 20% off-the-job training will be assessed throughout the programme and will be based on the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours (SKBs) you develop. You’ll also have quarterly progress reviews. An End Point Assessment takes place once you have completed all the on-programme requirements of the apprenticeship and is an assessment of the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours.
Who is this course for?
This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals starting out in learning and development or for those in supporting HR or people-development roles who want to expand their capabilities. It’s also suited to team members responsible for onboarding, training coordination, or helping to foster a culture of continuous learning within their organisation.
Requirements
Employers set entry requirements, which may include five GCSEs, including English and Maths. If you haven’t achieved Level 2 in English or Maths, you’ll need to do so before the End Point Assessment. You’ll also need to demonstrate the required work standard for the CIPD Level 3 Learning and Development qualification
Career path
Upon completing the L&D Level 3 Apprenticeship, graduates can pursue roles like L&D Assistant, Training Coordinator, or HR Support Officer. With experience, they may progress to roles such as L&D Advisor or Training Manager. This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for further qualifications, such as the Level 5 Diploma in Learning & Development, for those looking to advance.
