This fully-accredited course is designed to give students a solid understanding of the principles behind the ITIL Release, Control & Validation module. In addition to RCV processes, students will also examine the principles of service transition, how RCV supports and interacts with other ITIL Service Lifecycle activities and how RCV can be measured, including its defined roles and responsibilities. In short, it will show students the process for bringing new or changed services into operational use.

Not only do we cover all of the examinable material for the ITIL Release, Control & Validation examination, but we also offer several mock tests to help students prepare for the real thing. Students who successfully pass the exam will also gain four ITIL credits, which can go towards the 22 required to pursue the ITIL Expert qualification.

Upon completing the course, students can pursue the ITIL Release, Control & Validation examination via Pearson Vue. They can contact the Good e-Learning team to request a FREE exam voucher to be used at any Pearson Vue test centre.

Exam structure

ITIL Release, Control & Validation exam:

  • This is a complex multiple-choice exam
  • The exam consists of eight scenario-based questions
  • The exam is closed-book
  • Students will have 90 minutes to complete the exam
  • To pass the exam you must get 28/40 questions correct (70%)
  • Candidates who successfully complete the exam will gain four ITIL credits
  • Candidates sitting the examination in a language other than their first language will have a maximum of 120 minutes and will be allowed to use a dictionary.
