The IT Trainer Fundamentals Level 3 course consists of nine structured lectures, followed by an assessment, each designed to build knowledge progressively across IT concepts and training practice.
Lecture 1 introduces IT training. Learners explore the scope of IT training, the role and responsibilities of an IT trainer, and the importance of effective communication in training environments.
Lecture 2 focuses on information technology fundamentals. Learners explore computer hardware and software basics, operating systems, file management, and introductory networking concepts.

Lecture 4 focuses on database management. Learners explore database concepts, database design principles, SQL fundamentals, and basic database administration awareness.
Lecture 5 introduces web development concepts. Learners explore HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics, web development tools and frameworks, and website creation and maintenance principles.
Lecture 6 focuses on cybersecurity and data privacy. Learners explore common cybersecurity threats, data protection laws and compliance awareness, and security best practices.
Lecture 7 examines IT training methodologies. Learners explore instructional design principles, assessment and evaluation of training, and virtual training and e-learning approaches.
Lecture 8 focuses on professional development. Learners explore continuing education, career development pathways, certification awareness, and portfolio building for IT trainers.
Lecture 9 provides practical training awareness. Learners explore hands-on training sessions, creating training materials, and techniques for learner engagement and participation.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the IT Trainer Fundamentals Level 3 course, learners receive a free digital certificate provided by Reed confirming course completion. After obtaining the Reed certificate, learners also receive a provider-issued course completion certificate, subject to verification of the Reed certificate. Learners may additionally choose to order a premium certificate and academic transcript, available in both hardcopy and softcopy formats, based on individual needs, for an additional cost. This course supports professional development and progression in IT training and support roles.
