Overview
Possibly not as well-known as some alternative sciences, though certainly just as interesting, iridology (also known as iridodiagnosis or iridiagnosis) involves the detailed study of the iris to diagnose the past, existing, and even future, health problems of a patient’s body. With this information, patients can take pre-emptive measures to counter and control symptoms, even before the occurrence of a disease.
The Iridology Diploma Course teaches students all about iridology through its 3 sections: Introduction and Background, The Methodology and Process of Iridology, and Starting and Running Your Own Business. With the knowledge gained through the course, students will understand what iridology is and why it is used, how to treat patients and practice iridology, and how to set up their own business.

The start of the Iridology Course talks about the definition, purpose, and history of iridology. From this early stage in the course, you will understand how changes in the physiology of the iris help to indicate changes that take place in other parts of the body, thus allowing us to map out past, present, and possible future health conditions.
As iridology involves studying the eye, it is important to have good anatomical knowledge of the organ. The course moves onto describing the structure of the eye and how, through the hypothalamus, it is connected to the other parts of the body. Having learned about what iridology is and about the anatomical make up of the eye, the course then moves on to explain how to read the signs of the iris and what these can mean for a patient, whilst always considering their existing medical history and record.
Armed with the knowledge of what to look for in patients, students will then be guided in how to practice iridology. This includes the whole client journey, from diagnosis, patient care, and follow up sessions, as well as informing students about the equipment that they will need to practice.
Of course, once a patient has been diagnosed, with all possibilities considered, they could need to be prescribed medication. The Iridology Diploma Course discusses what to prescribe and the contraindications and possible side-affects that need to be considered. The course also describes how to monitor a patient’s progress and change doses to fit the individual throughout their treatment course.
As students will have learned so much about iridology, the course teaches how to set up your own practice. This can be either home-based or in an external workplace. The pros and cons of each are discussed, along with what equipment and furniture will be required, and how to go about managing appointments, workload, time, and organizing bookkeeping tasks.
Following on from this, the course offers tips and advice from practicing experts who have been where you are and impart useful knowledge and inspiration. Also discussed is what to do should a patient be unresponsive to treatment and how to properly hand over to medical professionals, should a more severe health problem be found. The Iridology Diploma Course rounds out with a recap of everything that has been learned throughout the course, as well as suggesting the next steps to take on your journey to becoming an iridology practitioner.
Who Would Benefit from the Course?
The Iridology Diploma Course is primarily aimed at those who wish to set up their own iridology practice with confidence, but anyone with an interest in alternative sciences and treatments will enjoy this course. Likewise, anyone who is planning to visit an iridology practitioner and would like to more fully understand what is involved, will learn a lot from this course.
