This Practitioner level course is designed to outline the skills and knowledge required to implement a successful audit based on ISO 9001:2015. Delegates will learn how to initiate an audit, prepare and conduct audit activities, compile and distribute audit reports and complete any follow-up activities. The course covers the complete life cycle of an internal audit, including the planning, conducting, reporting, and follow-up stages. It covers the knowledge that an effective auditor must possess, as well as the skills that are needed for a successful audit.

This course aims to equip delegates with the skills and knowledge they need to perform an internal audit based on ISO 9001:2015.

Who Should Attend

This course is ideal for a variety of staff involved with ISO 9000:2015, including any staff or management responsible for the auditing, maintaining and supervising of ISO 9001 in their organisation. It is also of interest to anyone who wishes to understand and get the maximum benefit from internal QMS audits.

Prior Knowledge

It is advised that candidates attend the FD116 ISO 9001: 2015 Foundation Course (Quality Management Systems) before attending this course. This is a one day course which we have scheduled before the Internal Auditor course - click here for more information/dates for this.

If you have prior knowledge of Management Systems, The PDCA cycle, Quality Management & knowledge of ISO 9001 standards then this will be deemed acceptable. If you do not hold the Foundation Certificate, however, you will be asked to complete a pre-assessment and return back to us as soon as possible, for us to verify your prior knowledge in these areas. This will be assessed by the trainer prior to the course start date.

Content

This course is designed to cover the complete life cycle of an internal audit, including the planning, conducting, reporting and follow-up stages, and works through these step-by-step. The course is based on a realistic case study, which allows delegates to try out and refined their auditing skills at every stage. The course also covers the knowledge that an effective orator must possess.

The course is assessed on the basis of progress throughout the course, as well as a 30 minute written test at the end of the course.
