Introducing IOSH Managing Safely - The first module makes it clear that managers are accountable for the employees under their control, and makes a persuasive case for managing safely.

Assessing risks - Explanation of the terms ‘risk’ and ‘risk assessment’. Delegates learn how to complete a basic risk assessment using the risk assessment process.

Controlling risks - We look at the hierarchy of control and concentrate on the best techniques to control key risks. Delegates soon understand to look at first eliminating risk, whereas PPE is the last resort.

Understanding your responsibilities - We review the legal system and health and safety law and enforcement. Then introduce the importance of having a health and safety management system.

Answer:Hi Jay, 1. The course is assessed via an online assessment broken into 2 parts. The 1st is a 30 multiple choice question online assessment accessible after you have completed the course, you can access it 24/7. The 2nd part is a submission of a risk assessment which is downloaded within the course and submitted directly to Safety Nation. 2. This is an online course, however, if you have 5 or more delegates (from a company) then I can deliver it face to face whereupon everything is done then.

Answer:Hi David, 1. The qualification is globally recognised, and all employers will have heard of it, it is designed for any role where you manage or supervise people e.g line leaders in a manufacturing business. However, I cannot tell you where you can get work with this cert. 2. No, look at the IOSH website and it will explain the level it is. 3. It is better to have it than not to have it, but I cannot guarantee you will get a job with it, but it is internationally recognised
