Overview
This is a CIPD Intermediate level course which you will study over a period of 6 months. It offers the perfect platform to further develop your HR knowledge and behaviours to operate at a more managerial level within the organisation. As well as providing you with deeper strategic insights into how HR can add value, you will develop your critical thinking and behaviours to aid you becoming a credible role model. The qualification will give you a broader perspective of the organisational issues facing HR professionals and enable you to develop effective analytical and problem solving skills. It also provides the knowledge towards Associate professional membership.

How is the course assessed?
You will have a fully CIPD approved tutor for each module who will provide unlimited support between classes and submitting your assignment. Our tutors teach modules which they specialise in, offering you the benefits of their experience. Tutors will share the resources you need before each class allowing you time to prepare. They will bring the subject to life, drawing on their own experiences and those within the group.
When you sign up to a CIPD Level 5 qualification you will receive an e-textbook and get access to our student hub. The hub contains a wealth of resources to widen your understanding and support you to successfully complete your assignments.
The CIPD Level 5 courses are broken down into modules. At the end of each module you will have a written assessment which is marked by your tutor. All assessments go through a rigorous internal and external verification processes. This ensures Acacia consistently meets the highest quality standards set by the CIPD.
Assessments will vary between each module but will always have a practical application. For example you may need to write a project plan or a briefing paper.
How is the course delivered?
- Part time evening course (26 evenings, 6-9pm once a week)
- Weekend block course (10 days, delivered over 1-2 day blocks, normally once a month)
- Weekday block course (10 days, delivered over 1-2 day blocks, normally once a month)
- Competency route
There is no set order in which you need to complete the modules so you can start whenever is convenient to you. You will have access to tutors and fellow learners throughout this course.
