The ILM Level 7 Certificate and Diploma for Executive and Senior Level Coaches and Mentors are nationally recognised qualifications that build the practical capability to coach and mentor at a senior or executive level.

Aim of the Programme

The ILM Level 7 aims to develop the advanced knowledge, behaviours and capabilities required to operate as a senior-level executive coach or internal consultant.

The qualification is made up of three mandatory units which enable participants to understand, develop and demonstrate knowledge and skills in coaching and mentoring. You are required to submit three pieces of written work:

1. Understanding the Principles and Practice of Effective Coaching and Mentoring at an Executive or Senior Level.
2. Undertaking Coaching or Mentoring at an Executive or Senior Level
3. Reflecting on Your Ability to Perform Effectively as a Coach or Mentor at an Executive or Senior Level

You are also required to complete 4 hours of group supervison and show evidence for 20 hours of formal coaching practice.

The Level 7 qualification represents the highest ILM-accredited coaching programme, providing a strong foundation for long-term professional growth.

This qualification can also support professional recognition through the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC) at practitioner level, helping you demonstrate your competence and credibility as a professional executive coach or mentor.
