HR Level 3 Apprenticeship

The HR Level 3 Apprenticeship is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in human resources, equipping apprentices with the essential skills and knowledge needed to support HR functions within an organisation. This program blends practical experience with theoretical learning, ensuring apprentices are well-prepared for a career in HR.

We address challenges associated with conventional HR approaches through workshops and enhance the learning journey by providing you with coaches and mentors who will guide you throughout the programme.

You can access your course materials on any device and at any time, giving you a seamless and flexible learning experience.

Throughout the programme you will be supported by an industry adviser and have access to our substantive Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). You’ll follow an individual learning plan and complete tasks and activities to support each component of your apprenticeship. Progress will be tracked through our ePortfolio system, OneFile.

You also have the option to study the CIPD Foundation People Practice qualification, although it isn’t mandatory.

Duration

The HR Support apprenticeship is an advanced apprenticeship which is the equivalent of two A-Levels. It lasts approximately 15 months with an additional 12 weeks for the End Point Assessment. The programme is split into four main phases which include an induction, core modules, End Point Assessment preparation and the End Point Assessment.

Assessment

Your off-the-job training will be assessed throughout the programme and will be based on the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours (SKBs) you develop. You’ll also have quarterly progress reviews.

Checklists and practice quizzes will allow you to integrate and retain what you have learned.

This course is ideal for individuals who are new to HR or those looking to formalize their HR experience with a recognised qualification. It is suitable for school leavers, career changers, and current employees seeking to develop their HR skills. The program is also beneficial for those who aspire to progress to higher-level HR roles in the future.

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (9-4), including English and Maths.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A keen interest in human resources and people management.
• The ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Upon completion of the HR Level 3 Apprenticeship, apprentices can pursue various career paths within the HR field, such as:

• HR Admin

This apprenticeship also provides a solid foundation for further study and progression to higher-level HR qualifications, such as the HR Level 5 Apprenticeship or CIPD qualifications.
