Description
Up until recently, hoarding wasn’t recognised as being something that a person needs help with, but in truth, hoarding can become a compulsion and it should be treated as such.
The aim of this hoarding awareness course is to raise awareness and will therefore explore hoarding in depth. You will gain a strong background of knowledge of hoarding to help increase your understanding, which involves looking at the origins of hoarding, as well as focusing on why people hoard, what they hoard, and who this disorder affects.
We will review the signs and myths of hoarding, as well as exploring case studies and key statistics to demonstrate the scale of the disorder. In addition, we’ll be exploring the triggers and characteristics, as well as considering how hoarding impacts the person suffering and their family.
This course is informative, and encourages you to be proactive, and that’s why a whole unit is dedicated to helping hoarders. This reviews how the disorder can be diagnosed and treated, and how the sufferer can be supported in the most effective way.
In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.
You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.
