This HACCP Level 1 Awareness Training course consists of four structured modules, followed by an assessment, each designed to develop introductory understanding of HACCP and food safety awareness.
The course begins with an introduction to HACCP and its role in food safety control, outlining what HACCP is, why it exists, and how it supports the prevention of food safety risks.
Preparation and planning to achieve effective food safety management introduce basic concepts related to readiness, organisation, and the importance of structured approaches to food safety.
Hazards, their significance, and control explore common food safety hazards, including biological, chemical, and physical risks, and why controlling these hazards is essential to protecting food safety.
Prerequisites for food safety focus on prerequisite programmes (PRPs) and operational PRPs, highlighting foundational hygiene and safety practices that support effective food safety management systems.
The course concludes with an assessment to consolidate understanding of HACCP awareness and entry-level food safety principles.
