Overview
COURSE INTRODUCTION
Emergency First Aid at Work is a qualification designed to help organisations meet the minimum requirements for their Appointed Persons in accordance with Health & Safety First Aid at Work Regulations (1981).
If you are in an environment where you may be required to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) please contact us for information on bolt-on training sessions which can be added to this qualification.

• How to deal with an Emergency • Infection Control Measures • The Primary & Secondary Surveys • Causes of Unconsciousness • CPR • Choking Procedures • Prevention & Control of Shock • Bleeding/Wound Management • Burns Procedures • The Importance and Completion of Accident Reports and RIDDOR Forms •
Potential Course Add-ons (available on request):
• AED Training (1 Hour)
• Dealing with Forestry Specific Injuries (1 Hour)
COURSE BENEFITS
All companies, regardless of size and operational risk should have at least one Appointed Person. Anybody with basic first aid responsibilities must hold a current “EFAW” certificate as a minimum requirement. For First Aiders please see our First Aid at Work qualification.
