Overview

There are two main mindsets we can navigate life with: growth and fixed. Having a growth mindset is essential for success. Your view of yourself can determine everything. If you believe that your qualities are unchangeable — the fixed mindset — you will want to prove yourself correct over and over rather than learning from your mistakes. Changing our beliefs can have a powerful impact. The growth mindset creates a powerful passion for learning. In this topic we focus on how to develop a growth mindset.

Description

Our mindset is a way of thinking - a mental disposition, or a frame of mind that shapes our thought habits. These habits affect not just how we think about the world and about ourselves; but they have an enormous impact on what we feel, what we do, and how we respond to events.

A growth mindset is the core belief that we have an infinite capacity to improve, grow and develop through dedication and hard work. Developing this mindset is essential to face an unpredictable and uncertain world with determination and resilience – knowing that you are capable of overcoming anything that is thrown at you. It will also help you to live up to your full potential, as you will extract the maximum value from every experience, challenge, and setback.
People who have a growth mindset stop worrying about looking smart, being perfect, and proving themselves right; instead, they focus their energy on actually learning and improving!
The good news is that mindsets are learned, and can therefore be changed. In this 180-minute session we will show you how to listen out for that inner voice that tells you that you’re not capable or just not good enough, and to reframe it into something more positive and optimistic. We will also help you to apply your growth mindset to common workplace challenges, and to expand your thinking and boost your creativity.
To be successful, to overcome challenges and learn from failures, you have to believe that you can.
