Overview

If you are using your analytics data to answer complex business questions or are looking for a solution that will help create efficiency and save costs in the long term, our analytics experts will show you how BigQuery can help solve these problems.

The course will take advantage of Google Analytics 360 data to cover the four main concepts that a user should understand when using BigQuery: projects, datasets, tables and jobs.

We’ll cover in detail the main elements of interaction including loading and exporting data as well as querying, viewing and managing data.

Finally, we will look at some common causes of error and BigQuery's integrations with other tools.

This course is led by BigQuery implementation and insights specialists working with the tool on a daily basis.

Our Google BigQuery course is available at our training centre in The Shard, London.

We also offer private training courses tailored to your needs, which are ideal if you have an analytics team who want to learn how to use this tool.

Description

This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary so you can run the queries that will help you adapt to some of the most complex scenarios your business may face. For example, mapping user journeys across hundreds of thousands of pages and interactions.

By the end of the day, you’ll be able to load data into BigQuery, query the data that you are using and export the data in order to manage and measure against your objectives.
This course complements our Google Analytics and Analytics Insights courses.

Upon completion of the course, you'll walk away with the ability to:

  • Use the BigQuery interface with confidence to make sense of Big Data and provide insights to the business
  • Use SQL fundamentals: clauses, functions and operators
  • Answer complex questions you couldn’t answer in the Google Analytics platform - from time to interaction analysis to user journey visualisation
  • Enhance Google Analytics data with your own business data
  • Integrate BigQuery with your technology stack and other tools including Data Studio

FAQs

What does study method mean?

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At reed.co.uk courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

What are CPD hours/points?

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on reed.co.uk, many of which can be completed online.

What is a ‘regulated qualification’?

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

What is an ‘endorsed’ course?

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body’s logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
