Overview

The programme is focussed partly on the essentials of implementing and managing the PRaDS scheme, but also covers the skills necessary to have the appropriate discussions to effectively review, manage and support staff.

The training course content will include:

  • The importance and benefits of having a well implemented PRaDS process
  • PRaDS Lite: why, and what are the changes?
  • The principles of an effective PRaDS Lite process
  • Facilitating discussions on Health and Wellbeing, including available resources
  • Facilitating performance review discussions, including values
  • Facilitating discussions on career development and addressing learning needs
  • The admin and management needed to make PRaDS Lite work

The focus for the workshop will be to understand the overall PRADs Lite process and practise relevant skills to build confidence in implementing the process regularly and consistently.

Description

By the end of the training participants will be able to:

  • Explain how the PRaDS Lite process can help them to manage and drive ongoing individual and team performance and development
  • Explain the principles of PRaDS Lite, why it has been introduced, and how it differs from the usual PRaDS process
  • Prepare for and facilitate a PRaDS Lite meeting
  • Lead effective discussions on employees’ Health and Wellbeing
  • Lead effective discussions reviewing employees’ performance, including Staff Values
  • Agree SMART, flexible outcomes and tasks with employees
  • Consider a variety of options available to address employee learning and development needs, and agree on the most appropriate
  • Administer PRaDS Lite practically, fulfilling all record-keeping requirements
