Please note, you will need to arrange your own exams with an exam centre.
The exam centre will charge a fee; this should be in the range of £80 - 120, depending on the exam centre.
Most schools and colleges are happy to take private candidates for the exams.

Mahlubandile Lesley asked:
I have a National Diploma Analytical Chemistry from South Africa, which chemistry course can I study at what price, a world recognized course.
Hi You can study either the GCSE chemistry course or the A level. It sounds like, with your previous experience, that the A level would be the better option. Absorb Student Support TeamThis was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
i want gcse science by jan 2019 whens the latest i can start the course? i want to sit the jan exams, so when will i get my final results?
Hi If you sit the exams in January then you normally get your certificate about 6 weeks later. You can start the course with us at any time but, obviously, the sooner you start then the better the grade you will get in the exam. Regards Absorb Student Support TeamThis was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
When would be the start date and when would the exams take place?
Hi Zoe, You can start anytime but, obviously, the sooner the better - to give you more study time. Exams in Science take place either in January or in May June. So your next opportunity is this May June. If you study about 16 hours a week you would get an A. Regards Absorb Student Support TeamThis was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Do you need to sit an exam? And Is it a recognised qualification at the end to follow on to do A levels?
Hi Yes. You need to sit 3 exam paper. One each in physics, chemistry and biology. Each exam is 2 hours in duration. You sit these in an exam centre - school, college or other institution near you. You enrol as what is know as a "private candidate". If you search google for edexcel private candidate you will find an edexcel page that helps with this. The Qualification or certificate you get allows you to go on to sit A levels or go to college just the same as any other person's GCSE.This was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Natasha Romashouck asked:
Is this chemistry course for an O level, AS level, or an A level?
Dear Natasha You have enquired about the GCSE Science course which is equivalent to the old O level. If you wish to do A level then we have a separate A Level Chemistry course. Regards Absorb Admin TeamThis was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.

I haven't passed science GCSE and its a requirement in order for me to get into university, what would be the total cost of everything and how long ?
Hi Erica The course is £270 but you also need to enrol with an exam centre and the cost of that can vary from £100 upwards. There are two time in the year when you can sit the exam - January and May/June. Can we help with anything else? Absorb Online Learning TeamThis was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.

Beverley Driscoll asked:
Can you take the exam over seas?
Hi Yes you can. Many countries have a British Council. If you contact the British Council for the country you are considering then they will let you know about their exam process. Absorb Student Support TeamThis was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Would this gcse gain me an equivalent of a-c gcse that I need to do teacher training?
Hi Lottie Yes, absolutely. Entrance to teacher training is one of the main reasons that people buy our courses - especially science, English and maths. When you have finished studying the course you then sit the exam (there are 3 two hour papers) in an exam centre. This is a school, college or other institution. You are treated exactly the same as any other student. The certificate you get will be acceptable at all teacher training institutions. Can we help with anything else? This was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
