We offer the MME Premium GCSE maths course!

Our Online GCSE Mathematics Course is used by schools, colleges as well as independent learners all over the country. This course has been designed to develop your understanding of maths and enable students to not only learn the methods but also answer exam questions. We are the first GCSE maths course to offer practise questions in the same format as the real exam paper questions which helps students to apply their knowledge and improve their exam score.

Description

The online GCSE maths course contains 7 key topic areas:

  1. Numbers
  2. Algebra
  3. Graphs
  4. Ratio and Proportion
  5. Geometry
  6. Trigonometry and Vectors
  7. Probability and Statistics

Each topic area consists of multiple subtopics that are covered with expert video tutorials explaining each and every different type of question. Each subtopic then has practice questions which also come with video tutorials. Once you are feeling confident with a topic area you can then move onto exam style questions that look and feel like the real thing. This helps with application of knowledge. As with all parts of the online course, the exam questions are also covered with video solutions where an expert explains how to answer each question and what common mistakes you should avoid making.

Once you have completed all of the topics then you can test yourself with fully interactive online mock exams. We will even post you physical mock exam papers so you can practise offline as well.

Hi Ludmila You would be better going down the GCSE equivalency test route for PGCE teacher training through someone like A Star Equivalency. This exam can be sat all year round where as the GCSE can only be done in November and June, with results released in August so if you don't pass you would miss the PGCSE deadlines in September.

Functional skills is the most popular GCSE equivalent and can be taken all year round and is accepted by the vast majority of University courses and employers. The full GCSE is the gold standard but can only be taken twice a year, in the summer and in November.

Hi Jannat All GCSE exams have to be taken in a local exam centre, you can not do them online. However, there are GCSE Equivalents called functional skills that you can do online and these are accepted by Universities and employers as a GCSE. Hi Fabio The GCSE course goes from level 1-9 with level 1 being the lowest grade and level 9 being the highest (equivalent to an effective A** in the old grading system). Why is this course advertised as £225 with a regulated qualification yet it does not include the cost of any examinations?

Hi Anon This is a naïve question. Please look at every provider who offers Ofqual regulated exams like we do. If you want something for free we advise you go to your local college and the government will fund this for you but be prepared to enrol for the entire year and you have to attend classes. If you want to study privately then you will have to pay for this. Standard exam costs are around £300, sometimes more. Please have a Google and you will see.

Hi Justine All GCSE maths exams have to be sat in person at an approved exam centre, there is no such thing as an online GCSE maths exam, not one that is Ofqual approved. However, there are GCSE equivalent qualifications such as the GCSE equivalency tests offered by 'A Star Equivalency' and functional skills qualifications offered by 'Pass Functional Skills' which can be taken online from home. Hi Abbas You could do the exam as early as the end of this week and all of our exams are conducted from home with 1-2-1 invigilation so you will not have to travel. The exam is not included in the payment and would be an additional £225. Any provider offering 'cheap' exams with their course then just double check they are Ofqual regulated as otherwise they are worthless and won't be accepted by Universities or employers as a GCSE equivalent.
